💙Crafting Process💙

* First, the rings are tumble polished to clean & shine them up, as well as to remove any sharp edges or burrs they may have.
* Then, each ring is opened, woven, and closed a single ring at a time to create each intricate pattern.
* The titanium is colored using electricity. I create a solution made up of baking soda and distilled water, then run an electrical current through it. I then use this to anodize the titanium which creates an oxide layer on the surface. Different voltages will create different colors. Due to the anodizing process, there may be slight color variation from batch to batch.

💙 Guarantee 💙

I offer a guarantee that your piece will last. If anything happens to it, just contact me and I will make any necessary repairs.

💙 Shipping 💙

Each item is handmade by me and me alone. While I strive to get most items shipped with a quick turn around time of 1-3 business days, some orders will take longer to ship (up to 2 weeks).

I offer free standard within the US and use USPS First Class for most items, which normally has a 3-5 day transit time.

Please note, all timeframes listed are in business days and do not factor in weekends or holidays.

Frequently asked questions

What doess ZenJumps mean?

Simply, it's a fun little play on my name (Jen Zumpetta). At a former job, I was given the nickname Zen because we had anywhere from 1-2 other Jens working there, so rather than calling me Jen Z I became Zen. That nickname stuck and I hung onto it. Then Jumps came by moving the misplaced J where the Z had been and shortening my last name a bit.
Fun fact! ZenJumps has a second meaning. I always say that chainmaille is my form of meditation. Picking up my pliers and weaving for a few hours always helps to relax me. It's my zen. And what is it that chainmaille is made out of? Jump rings!

How is all this made?

All my items are handcrafted by me a single ring at a time. Chainmaille is made out of links, called jump rings, that are created by coiling wire onto mandrels, then cutting the coils to turn them into rings. I then take the rings and open, weave, and close them individually to create the intricate designs and patterns.

All the pieces made in titanium I also anodize (or color) myself using electricity. I create a solution made up of baking soda and distilled water, then run an electrical current through it. I then use this to anodize the titanium which creates an oxide layer on the surface. Different voltages will create different colors. Due to the anodizing process, there may be slight color variation from batch to batch.

What metals do you use?

The vast majority of my items are made in 304 grade stainless steel. I also use quite a bit of titanium throughout my pieces that I anodize (color) using electricity. Some pieces, such as my apparel pieces, dice bags, etc., are made using aluminum for it’s light weight and bright & bold colors.

When will my order ship?

While I do have some items ready made in stock, most items are made to order. I strive to ship orders within 1-3 business days, however orders will on rare occasions take up to 2 weeks to ship. This is typically only if I don’t have all the supplies on hand and need to order in any components.

Where do you ship from?

Everything ships from Cary, NC.

Care instructions

Stainless steel and anodized aluminum are super easy to clean and very low maintenance! All you need is a little soap and water. I normally suggest using blue dawn dish soap and warm water.

For pieces made with anodized titanium, it is strongly recommended to remove to shower or swim to help the color stay vibrant longer. Since it is colored by creating an oxide layer without the use of dye, the colors could fade over time when exposed to harsh chemicals, such as chlorine.
